Who is Don Chapman?

Don Chapman is one of Hawai`i's most well known and best loved writers. For more than a decade, Don Chapman wrote the 3 Dot Column in the Morning Honolulu Advertiser daily newspaper, then he went off on his own to write freelance articles and books.

Don's insights into Hawai`i, her people, sports, cultures, sights and sounds have always made good reading.

Recently, Don became the Editor of MidWeek Magazine, one of O'ahu's most widely read weekly papers. Seems he just couldn't stay away from all the action involved with a big local paper! Don continues to work on freelance projects, in fact he is currently writing two books.

Don and I have been friends since 1980. A while ago, I asked him if he'd mind allowing us to archive and share some of his terrific work here on Hawai`i's H4 and he eagerly contributed what you will find on board.
