Einstein's Eyes

LONDON (Reuter) - Albert Einstein's eyes were removed before he was cremated and have been hidden for nearly 40 years in a bank vault in New Jersey, Britain's Guardian newspaper reported Saturday. The newspaper said Dr. Henry Abrams of Loveladies, N.J., owned the preserved eyes of the scientific genius. It quoted Abrams, who was Einstein's opthamologist, as saying he removed the eyes during the physicist's autopsy in 1955. ``When you look into his eyes, you're looking into the beauties and mysteries of the world," the newspaper quoted Abrams as saying. ``They are clear as crystal;they seem to have such depth." The newspaper quoted sources as saying Abrams was looking for a buyer for the eyes.
