Aloha Gray Line!

Gray Line Hawai`i closed it's doors without warning and laid off about 250 drivers, mechanics and administrative people yesterday (3/18/96). Citing a turn down in business and the inability to sell off the company in a positive manner, Gray Line's officers decided to shut down instead.

For 68 years, the company was a major player in the bus tour business in Hawai`i and will be missed. The H4 hopes that all of the affected employees will be able to find new jobs and soon.

It's a tough time economically in these parts. The sudden shut down was a complete surprise to the community and all those involved.
