I began thinking about using Quicktime VR as an art form. What if I VR'd pictures that weren't panoramas but, used the panorama technology to create 360 degree virtual experiences in Canvas or Photoshop?
So, I did a few...and then I noticed something pretty cool. Besides some interesting animation, you also get some cool effects.
Get Grace spinning as fast as you can in one direction. What do you see? The top or bottom cloudlike images should start to move the opposite way in a strobe like effect. (I'm on a PPC 7100/66, your speed may vary).
This page will be our Art/experimental page.
You can participate too. Create a pict image 1728 pixels wide by 380 tall and envision seeing the whole thing as you create it. If ya email it to me, I'll VR it and we'll have a look and maybe hang 'em up here...
