For the first time in Hawaii history, 65 radio stations and 15 television stations will simultaneously play the same song to promote aloha and unity throughout the islands as part of Synergy Hawaii Day on Nov. 14.

At 6:45 a.m., the 80 stations will work together to play the music video or song version of the uplifting, "Give Aloha," performed by many of Hawaii’s top artists. On Oct. 5, Governor Benjamin Cayetano proclaimed Synergy Hawaii Day as an official statewide event. "Organizing all of these stations to play this song at the same time has been a very challenging experience," said singer songwriter Jesse Rivera who came up with the idea over a year ago while driving to work one morning. "I am touched by how the media has shown their aloha spirit by uniting together to spread the message of love.
"I heard a song on the radio entitled, Chain of Love and it really touched my heart. I wanted everyone in Hawaii to share this same feeling. By playing a feel-good song at the beginning of the day and at the same time, all of Hawai‘i will be given a positive message reminding us to be good to one another. Wherever you are at 6:45 a.m., I can guarantee that you will hear or see this."

This is what makes this first event so special."
