Tracey Trumbull's VR for a Wrinkle in Time!
QTVR by Tracey Trumbull

A little about me and my pano...

Name: Tracey Trumbull
Email: ttrumbull@tribune.com or tracey @panimation.com
Web address (personal): http://www.gate.net/~trumbull
Occuption: Multimedia Producer at the Sun-Sentinel, a Tribune Company newspaper in south Florida, USA. Also, evangelist for Panimation, makers of Nodester and Widgetizer

Turn ons: QuickTime VR, cool things like this World Shoot

Turn offs: People who take themselves too seriously, like me

What I shot: Starting at precisely 2:00pm EST (as confirmed by Vremya) at Mizner Park, in Boca Raton, Florida. This place is as close to a town square as you'll find in south Florida. While it houses the usual commercial things like shops and stores, it's one of the few places in south Florida people go just to hang and people watch. I printed out the URL for the site and passed them out when people asked what I was up to...

How it was shot: I used a Nikkor 20->35mm zoom, attached to a Nikon E2s digital camera, which was attached to a Peace River 3Sixty pano rig, and all of that was attached to my trusty Leitz Tiltall tripod, which was attached to Mother Earth.

How it was put together: Using a 15MB PC card, images were captured and stored on the card, which was transferred to my Macintosh Powerbook 3400/200 and stitched together using Panimation's Nodester. Once the images were stitched, I enhanced the color saturation and sharpness of the stitched file in Adobe Photoshop, and then imported the image back into Nodester for the final steps of the pano-making process. My goal was to be the first person to upload their pano...

Personal note: Mom, yes...I was wearing clean underwear in case I got hit by a truck!

And a special note of thanks to Rabbett, for making this all happen! Rab...happiest of holidays!
