The "Boulder" .mov file here is actually a QTVR movie of Chatauqua Park in the southwestern part of Boulder, CO which Kelly Corn (the director of our photography department) and I photographed with a Kodak DC 120 and post produced on a Macintosh 9600/200 in our Denver studio with the new QTVR Authoring Studio v1.0. Due to the absolutely crazy schedule today (12/22/97) we havn't had as much time as we would have liked to work with the images in photoshop evening color balance and density. However, we wanted to get our movie up for the global site asap! Thanks for letting us contribute!
Co-founders Dennis Wakabayashi and Zachary Epps anticipated the rapid growth of the Internet and in early 1995 created Sumaato, a full-service web design firm specializing in QTVR, Commercial Website devlopment and Intranets.
The venture has proven to be a successful pairing of talents: Epps' commercial photography background contributed to his mastery of QTVR; Wakabayashi's experience in advertising/graphic design coupled with computer savvy has led to the creation of many "web architectures" for clients, intricate web structures linking together anywhere from two to 4,000 pages. The programming skills of Roger Anthony have boosted the firm's ability to program sites using CFML, ODBC (database usage) and security implementations.
Sumaato's recent expansion has resulted in new headquarters, a 6,000 square foot studio in Lower Downtown Denver, complete with full-service photography and Quicktime Virtual Reality capabilities. Web services are provided through state-of-the-art technology including multiple Mac and PC workstations and servers utilizing T-1 bandwidth.
Clients may enjoy the use of Workstations for their projects while capturing a QTVR assignment, or just creating an advertising campaign.
For clients on the run, Sumaato provides CD-roms of work created at the studio so that the art director, or designer may take home the Summato productions for use in their studio or firm.
