David A. Wagner's VR for a Wrinkle in Time!
QTVR by David A. Wagner

Here's the typical NYC Santa standing in front of Conway's Department store; next to a traditional NY newsstand and just for flavor, a Hasidic Jew passing by. Shot at 2pm New York time on the Northwest corner of 35th Street and Broadway.

We were going to shoot santa in front of Macy's, which is just across the street, but there was a riot with screaming fur protestors and Santa had to move across the street for his own safety.

Technical stuff you could do without:
Shot with a computer controlled Roundshot Super 220 VR on Kodak Pro 1000 negative film. The camera was leveled using the Kaidan QP-4.
The camera was trucked in to 37th Street using a 1985 Toyota LandCruiser and parked at Guido's "you bet it's safe" Parking off 6th Avenue.
From the parking garage 2 bodyguards tagged along for security and 1 sherpa followed with the camera and tripod.
Scanned as a 72 meg Photo CD and color corrected with Kodak Access Plus software. Retouched in Photoshop 4 and compiled into a QTVR 1.0 movie using Jon Summer's PanoMagic.
