Makapu`u


11/11/96 - Veterans' Day, and my 43rd year on the planet. Was gonna go Beeg Isle but was kinda iffy on da clouds 'n stuffs, so I went for one drive around noon. Went Waimanalo Feeds and got dog food and den went Makapu`u....whoo brah, was raging!

Not only did I get another year on the planet but, the big guy saw to it to provide me with this special birthday present - a sunny spot amidst a sky of gray...I also lucked out at Sandys as you'll see next page.

Time was around 11:30 a.m.

The lifeguards actually had the beach closed but the water was high and crashing...

As you circle you'll see Rabbit Island, Makapu`u Point, Sea Life Park, and the Makai Pier (a UH research facility)...and as alway, the ever present Ko`olau Mountain range loomin proudly along the shoreline.
