Over and over I tried, sometimes reformatting the original images, trying different orders, field of view settings....all kinds of wizardry.

Today, I realized that the sunny portion of the VR was not lapping properly. I slowed my stitch down to an interactive level, where I could adjust the overlaps of the pictures directly, one by one.

Voila! I got it, and you can see it!

The original photos were taken at 8:30, on November 2nd.

PS: No, it's not an alien landing, it's the sun and several frames worth of lens flares fanning across the early morning landscape.
