Saturday, January 25th...Christmas arrives early!
My friend Gino, a local photographer and cuzzin Iz and I were talking story in da IzChat on board the H4 here and Gino mentioned he had to shoot some pictures of a young gal named TawniLyn who had won several local Steinlager Beer promotional contests. He mentioned he was gonna go shoot some stuff at Sandys and I asked him if his model might like to do a VR.
I have really wanted to do a VR with one person in several positions in a circle.
TawniLyn was game and we all met around 4 o'clock down at the beach.
As you can see, TawniLyn was alot of fun to work with. She wore a sensational silver dress and like all good models was a real ham....
Mahalo TawniLyn! You made me feel like one fashion kine photog today.
Although I was originally worried about the overcast conditions, like Gino suggested, the lack of harsh sun and shadows to deal with really brought out the best in her features. I was also worried about losing part or parts of her in the stitching but, I was pretty sure that if I centered her in each shot it would work out ok and as you can see...it did.
Minor adjustments were made in photoshop. I adjusted brightness and contrast and painted over one road sign that was too close to her head in one frame. This was shot with that Kodak DC50 which had to be coaxed into shooting a couple of the shots twice but the results were oh so cool!
Make sure you pop to the next page also - TawniLyn does Waikiki!
Update: 2/5/97 - TawniLyn won the Miss Steinlager Hawai`i honors and besides a lot of paying modeling work for them, she won a trip to Paris! Way to go TawniLyn!
