Bruddah Israel Kamakawiwo`ole and band rehearse tunes for the Saturday Night's (3/22/97) Waikiki Shell Extravaganza...

This VR was shot live, as it happened, with no special posing in the ballroom at the Outrigger Prince Kuhio Hotel in Waikiki.

Tunes, like Johnny Mahoe, The Fly, and Hawai`i '78 will be featured in the Shell show and upcoming interisland tour.

Bruddah Iz is playin his favorite ukulele, a Martin in this vr.

To Iz's left is Bassist Analu A`ina. Then we see da mastah of da keyboards, midis and album recording/mixing - Gaylord Holomalia. Unfortunately hidden by his drum kit is Rory Flores. Hangin out with the band and doing some percussive stuff on his guitar case is young local guitarist BB Shawn. Percussionist Mike Muldoon, is back from Marin County for this gig and tour and guitarist Mel Amina rounds out the band and this vr.

Bruddah Iz and his band are among Hawai`i's most popular local performers.
