Here's another VR taken atop Mt. Haleakala. The sky is so blue up there...at 10,000 feet plus.
If you look really carefully at the right side of this opening view, and look off in the distance just above the ridgeline, you'll see two mountains with their own cloud rings. They are both volcanos on the Big Island of Hawai`i. On the left is Mauna Kea which is over 14,600 feet high. The volcano on the right is Mauna Loa.
Interesting to note: the rocks seen atop Haleakala are quite reminiscent of what we have gotten to see on Mars recently.
