On a visit to the Laie area on O'ahu's northeast shore, I stopped by one of my favorite spots - Laie Point. I took this shot around 10:40 at a position about 100 yards beyond the end of Naupaka St.
A lone fisherman was checking his poles and bait. He'd been there a couple hours already by the time I drove in and nope, not even a nibble. These poles each had strike bells attached, so if something did hit, he and his co-horts would hear them ringing and come a runnin'.
From this vantage, we can see most of the windward coastline from Kaneohe Bay to Kahuku.
