When I was about 10, I saved a bunch of allowance and odd job money in order to buy this Schucco Micro Racer.

It was made in Western Germany as they called it in those days and has a key to wind it up. The exhaust pipe is what you use to set the steering for the car. We used to race these at the school bustop and at school.

The "gearshift" is what keeps the spring wound. Press it forward, and then wind it up...set the steering for straight or a big circle and put it on the ground. Press the "gearshift" back and the car zooms!

Notice the gum rubber grill - won't dent furniture!

It's also a little treasure that has followed me everywhere. I bet out of all the guys in my school and neighborhood who bought them, I am probably the only one who still has his.

Tires are of gum rubber. It's serial number is 1041. It still works great!

and it is good on gas! ;)

This Object vr was made with the same goofy rig as the one of the porcelin dog.

he he he ;)
