Sackville, New Brunswick is a wonderful little town at the edge of the Tantramar marsh and the Chignecto basin. Home to Mount Allison University -- one of Canada's most prestigious universities -- Sackville is also home to Radio Canada International's shortwave towers, to "original" world wide web. The towers (which are, unfortunately, too small to see in this photograph) are behind and to the left of the flailing figure). To the right of the figure, on the distant horizon, is Aulac, NB, site of historic Fort Beauséjour, where English, French, and Acadians battled in 1754. This railway bridge itself and the main line across the marsh here have both been featured in paintings by Alex Colville.
