At exactly 2 PM Eastern Standard Time I began shooting my first images. This QTVR is a Sunday lunch with friends and family shot with a WideAngle lens equiped PC-7 SONY digital camera on a PeaceRiver Rig in my "chalet" or country house in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. My son is in the forefront, as he has been for the last 2 years helping me shoot QTVRs, and on the left and right are my friends, a retired Uranium geologist (now turned Ecologist) and his wife. I am on the right, my wife is on the left. The couple in the background; a retired rocket scientist and his wife. My wife's goddaughter in the middle. We have been drinking Eggnog and wine, celebrating the season and the joy of life. Outside it is beautifully cold, -10 Celsius, and sunny. Later we had our neighbors over for cognac and desert in the living room by the fireplace. I light some Luminarias (a tradition I have continued since living in New Mexico) which are lunch bags filled with sand and a candle, used to light the way for friends and visitors. In the crisp, quiet of early evening, I felt a oness with the universe, my spirits were lifted as I watched the stars come out, twinkling in the heavens (after all the wine and liquor, I was not up to shooting a very straight VR, so maybe someone in Arizona or New Mexico can do this).
