| The partial solar eclipse of October 13, 2004 will never equal anything that is a total eclipse. More than ten years after witnessing the missed opportunity of the July 11, 1991 eclipse, catching this partial eclipse was still thrilling in its own way. I managed to knock off about a dozen so-so photos with my old fashioned analog 35mm camera using 400 speed color film. Results were mixed, but at least I got some kind of image. I guess the neatest image for me in this series is the sun setting into the ocean off the southwestern coast of Oahu. Kind of neat I have to say!
