Support Our Troops is the newest pictorial pages added to this section. Rallies are being held around the island of Oahu as well as the entire state to help support our United States troops fighting for freedom in the War with Iraq. The photos from this rally were taken at the Hawaii State Capitol grounds on Saturday, March 29, 2003.

Visit the long gone Cinerama Theater, which closed in November 1999. You can view these and read some of my comments about one of Oahu's last big screen palaces.

In 1998 the prospect of a massive general excise tax increase was on the minds of many people, and a lot of them showed up in protest against the tax increase at the state capitol. You can relive (or view for the first time) the 2 KHVH radio sponsored Tea Party '98 Tax Rallies here.

Before she became a floating museum at Pearl Harbor Naval Base, the U.S.S. Missouri battleship fought her last battles during the Gulf War of 1991. After the war, she sailed to Hawaii on her way home and eventual decommissioning. Before she got to the mainland, the Missouri made a public stop in Hawaii. Her doors were opened for all the public to see. This was my first, and so far only time to go on board the world famous battleship.
