 Left: Elton John was riding high in 1973 having come off his first #1 hit "Crocodile Rock" early that year. Elton played at the Blaisdell Center in 1973 and returned to Hawaii again in 1980. I was lucky enough to see Elton's 1980 concert at the Blaisdell where just about every song he performed was a hit. Elton put on quite a show with several costume changes, laser lights and a fog machine. Above Right: KPOI's Miss 16 of Honolulu, Joan Estes.
