Kamehameha III was an excellent King for not taking all of the responsibility of the government for himself. He was an excellent king because he gave others a chance to help him rule the kingdom. Kamehameha the Third was also an excellent king because he had shared his kingdom with his family and friends.
Kamehameha III had a right-hand man (who was like his secretary), by the name
of Dr. Gerrit P. Judd. If someone had to talk to the king about business, they
would have to talk to Dr. Judd because the king could trust Dr. Judd's honesty
and knowledge of business.
The King had gotten into a lot of trouble for having people help him, but he did not really care.
In conclusion, Kamehameha III was an excellent king because he didn't take all of the responsibility for himself, but shared it with others. This an excellent example for you and I because it is not right to try to rule everything yourself, but to share the responsibility with others you can trust.
