Pineapple has been a major player in the Hawaiian economy for over a hundred years. Unfortunately now, Latin America is kickin' our butts. Lower costs for everything are forcing the pineapple companies, like the sugar companies, to reconsider the use of their lands. Pineapple from Hawai'i definitely tastes better.
